Dan the Skipping Man

Luke Wheaton was a student at Bradley Stoke Community School.   After his tragic passing in December 2020 at only 16 years old a trust was set up in his name. The Luke Wheaton Legacy Trust is made up of trustees from Members of Luke’s family, Bradley Stoke Community School (Luke’s former school), North Bristol Rugby Club (Luke’s rugby club), Stoke Lane Football Club and Bradley Stoke Youth (both current and former football clubs of Luke).

The Trusts objective is to help, support and prepare disadvantaged young people, regardless of background or disability, into skilled work such as apprenticeships by providing training courses, improving skills, communication and providing financial support for tools.

As Luke was passionate about health, fitness and sport the Trust will also offer any financial support that encourages or allows disadvantaged young people to get access to and excel in fitness and sport by providing club funding, sports equipment, sports kit, club fees (subs) or pay for extra swimming lessons etc.

Callicroft enjoyed a day of skipping with Dan the Skipping Man and learnt some amazing skills alongside having a fantastic time and ITV also recently reported on this!
You can view the ITV recording here….

If you would like to know more about the Trust or donate then please see here.

We would all like to thank the Luke Wheaton Legacy Trust for this amazing opportunity for our learners.
